Still my favorite city

It’s no secret that I’m a fan of Las Vegas. The glitz. The glamour. The police. Yes: the police.

From my time as the ATF supervisor in Vegas, through my stint at SoundThinking (the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has long used ShotSpotter), and as as an adjunct professor at William S. Boyd School of Law, University of Nevada-Las Vegas, I’ve never seen anything other than progressive, professional policing from the cops out there.

Sheriff Kevin McMahill has continued a long legacy of good policing in the valley. In a recent news story, he explained how the department is using cutting-edge technology to keep the city safe.

All part of the reason why Vegas remains my favorite city. (You can read my Love letter to Sin City here.)
