This is pretty exciting. SCOTUS is going to weigh in on marijuana users possessing firearms.
We could use some clarity on how far the Second Amendment goes in allowing the government to categorically prohibit non-violent (but not law-abiding) people from possessing firearms.
(It’s already made clear that the law can restrict possession by dangerous people, as I explained in this NyQuil themed post: https://lnkd.in/gXs8qV_Z.)
I’ve written about marijuana in many prior posts, including:
This Cheech and Chong themed one (https://lnkd.in/gS_V9wqM);
This one about the Untouchables (https://lnkd.in/g6GakTki);
This one about a genius popcorn business (https://lnkd.in/gkKcqXP7);
A couple about searching cars, here (https://lnkd.in/guyV9fQT) and here (https://lnkd.in/gXwTwtMj);
And this one about celery and Portlandia (https://lnkd.in/gn-reWAJ). [Update: My bad, this post was about meth. I don’t have any plans to try that.]
Honestly, for a guy who’s never smoked it, I probably think about weed more than I should. I turned 50 last week. Maybe it’s time!
